On 1 May, we invite you to celebrate Batiar Day at Kumpel' — expect the fine atmosphere of old Lviv, batiar humour and signature entertainment, so come along, gazdy and ladies. This evening we'll be initiating guests into the batiar brotherhood, turning up the mood with batiar music and adding a touch of that knaypa charm so everyone feels part of the legend.
From 19:00 at Kumpel' on Rynok and Mytna, the real Batiar Day begins: guests can look forward to an initiation ritual and a batiar quiz, where correct answers can be exchanged for beer — in short, don't doze off, there's something to be gained. The evening quickly picks up that distinctive Lviv pace — full of stories, jokes and a good knaypa atmosphere, as they say, to gladden the soul.
On the screens at both restaurants, the cult 1939 film "Vagabonds" featuring Tonko and Shchepko will be playing — the legendary Lviv comedy duo who once set the tone for city radio and entertainment and became a symbol of batiar culture. It was in this film that the song "Tilky vi Lvovi" was first heard, later becoming a true city legend.
And at 20:00 at Rynok, in the "beer courtyard", there will be a separate screening of "Noble Vagabonds" — a modern interpretation of the cult film, to make the immersion in Lviv stories even deeper.
So come to Kumpel' for Batiar Day — dive into the batiar jokes and spirit and become a batiar for at least one evening.
